    Munich Nightlife

Here is where to go at night: posh clubs, down-to-earth discos, party and concert halls, for every age, music taste and wallet.

The legendary nightclub in Prinzregentenstraße 1 started as a club of US-American army officers and is now the number one nightclub in Munich. The rich and the beautiful, stars and starlets party here - and the lucky ones who, despite being none of the above, manage to get past the bouncers. Remember to wear posh clothes and shoes. Now newly renovated, right next to Haus der Kunst.
    Location: Prinzregentenstraße1
    Open 365 nights per year
    Admission free

    Atomic Cafe
A small nightclub right in the city centre, mainly frequented by students. Independent and 1960s/1970s music, Britpop on Wednesdays. The 1960s deco and the comfy sofas next to the dance floor make for a cosy and unpretentious atmosphere for individualists. Live Acts. Location: Neuturmstraße 6 (near Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz).
    Tuesday - Sunday 10pm - 3am
    Friday, Saturday 10pm - 4am

A huge new night club for over 20s: a total of 4,004 square metres with several rooms each with different music styles, from house to salsa. Open on Fridays and Saturdays and every night before a bank holiday from 9pm (except Good Friday).
    Location: Landsbergerstraße 169-175

Famous live acts, rock music and a beer garden. This party hall is a first address for rockers and a standard concert
Location: Friedenheimer Brücke 7 (between S-Bahn exits Laim and Donnersberger Brücke).

    Cafes and Bars
What's a good night out without a couple of drinks in a bar? In Munich the atmosphere of the many bars differs immensely. Some are cafés and bars at the same time and make for a more relaxed, quiet evening. Others are stylish meeting points for the rich and beautiful. And again some bars' charme just lies in their imperfect yet unique furnishing - containing second hand sofas and unknown artists' paintings! In many, but not all bars food is served. Some have live music (Jazz, Klezmer) or DJs.
